The Opportunity:
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Associate will support the legal function of the organization by participating in corporate strategic initiatives, compliance and best practices.
Location of Position:
This position will be based in our Norwalk, CT (USA) office, with the occasional opportunity to work remotely.
The Legal Associate will:

Provide support to projects and initiatives as directed by the General Council and CEO
- Conduct research, analyze and summarize laws, rulings and regulations
- Perform due diligence and participate in the closing of corporate transactions
- Review, interpret, draft and edit a variety of documents including contracts, agreements, reports, letters etc.
- Oversee documentation management, including editing and formatting of documents
- Liaise and work effectively with external groups and third-parties including consultants, advisors, legal and applicable corporate bodies
- Stay up-to-date corporate governance trends, general legal issues and best practices
What you Bring:
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
- Active member of the Connecticut and/or New York Bar Association
- 3-5 years of progressive experience within a corporate practice of a law firm
- Relevant experience dealing with technology commercial agreements including NDAs, partnership agreements, license agreements, IP protection etc.)
- Background in M&A diligence and documentation is an asset
- In-house corporate counsel experience is an asset

- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to exercise initiative, flexibility and sound judgement
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
