About the Opportunity 

Due to growth and expansion, we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced, passionate and process-oriented direct sales professional to join our growing team.

As the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you will be a lead point of engagement between Tantalus and utility companies (both public and cooperative). You will be responsible to develop a comprehensive territory plan that will grow market presence, revenue and customer count.

Supported by a team of regional sales managers, account managers, partner organizations, and distribution partners, you will also leverage internal and external resources to prospect, qualify and close new business opportunities.

Extensive travel throughout the region will be required. Your territory will cover:

  • the northern border of Virginia
  • west to Columbus, Ohio
  • north into Ontario, Canada; and
  • east through Maine and into the Maritimes, Canada.

This is a senior sales role that is well suited to candidates with at least ten (10)  of experience in selling complex solutions with a long sales cycle. You should be familiar with industry trends, channels, products and competitor within the AMI, Smart Grid and/or Cleantech space.

Our ideal candidate is also a respected and dynamic leader with exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.  We know that to be successful in a highly competitive market requires more than just luck. We need someone who has a strong history of meeting/exceeding sales targets, developing reliable strategies and closing sales.
